‘Superblood Wolfmoon' lyrics by Pearl Jam

Superblood Wolfmoon' lyrics by Pearl Jam

This is the first single from Pearl Jam's new album Gigaton. Released on Feb 19 2020 as a promotional vehicle for Pearl Jam's 11th studio album. This release comes seven years since the release of Lightning Bolt.

Lyrics by Eddie Vedder.

Always felt like it was endin'
And love notwithstandin'
We are each of us fucked
I'm in danger
Singin' in the distance
I can see you when I close my eyes
Once, you were somewhere
And now you're everywhere
I'm feelin' selfish and I want what's right
I ask for forgiveness
I'm mad at myself
Feelin' angry, now get off the scale
Superblood wolfmoon
Took her away too soon
Superblood wolfmoon
Took her away too soon
Superblood wolfmoon
Took her away too soon
I can hear you
Singin' in the distance
I can see you when I close my eyes
Once, you were somewhere
And now you're everywhere
I'm feelin' selfish and I want what's right
Focus on your focuslessness
Deliver hopelessness
I've been hopin' and I hoped I'd last
I don't know anything
I question everything
This life I love is goin' way too fast

'Dance of the Clairvoyants' lyrics by Pearl Jam from Gigaton

Heavily influenced by the way David Byrne (Talking Heads) sings, Eddie Vedder has delivered a classic PJ moment.

Stone Gossard said of the song  'the track exemplifies “the outer edge of something that we haven’t tried before, a new way of configuring our sort of collaborative talents.”

Released in February 2020 as the first promotional song for the Gigaton album.

Lyrics by Ed Ved.

Confusing it is to commotion
What love is to our devotion
Imperceptibly big
As big as the ocean
And equally hard to control
So save your predictions
And burn your assumptions
Love is friction
Ripe for comfort
Endless equations
And tugging persuasions
Doors open up
To interpretation
Expecting perfection
Leaves a lot to ignore
When the past is the present
And the future's no more
When every tomorrow
Is the same as before
The looser things get
The tighter you become
The looser things get
Tighter
Not one man can be greater than the sun
It's not a negative thought
But positive, positive, positive
Falling down, not staying down
Coulda held me up, rather tear me down
Drown in the river
Expecting perfection
Leaves a lot to ignore
When the past is the present
And the future's no more
When every tomorrow
Is the same as before
Numbers keep falling off the calendar's floor
We're stuck in our boxes
When it's open no more
Could've lifted up they're forgetting us
Not recalling what they're for
I'm in love with clairvoyants
'Cause they're out of this world
I know the girls wanna dance
Fall away their circumstance
I know the boys wanna grow
Their dicks, and fix and file things
I know the girls wanna dance
Clairvoyants in a trance
I know the boys wanna grow
Their dicks and fix and file things
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back
I know the girls wanna dance
Away their circumstance
I know the boys wanna grow
Their dicks and fix and file things
Drown in the river
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back (Their dicks, and fix and file things)
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
(Drown in the river)

Longing to Belong Lyrics Eddie Vedder

Longing to Belong Lyrics by Eddie Vedder

Longing To Belong'Longing to Belong' was the first song to be released from Eddie Vedder's second solo album, Ukulele Songs. It is a wildy different follow up to Into The Wild...

Free from the chains of his main music machine, Pearl Jam, Eddie was able to mix the album up with some original songs and some covers as well.

The song's lyrics are basically a love song, a subject which long time Pearl Jam fans know is dear to Eddie Vedder's own heart.

Longing to Belong Lyrics:

I'm falling harder than I've ever fell before I'm fallin faster, hoping I'll land in your arms cause all my time is spent here longing to belong to you

I dream of circles perfect eyes within your face my heart's an open wound that only you replace and though the yellow moon is rising can't put your picture down love, it's a frightning way to fall

And when the time is right, I hope that you'll respond like when the wind gets tired and the ocean becomes calm I may be dreaming but I'm longing to belong to you

We have no idea if Eddie has seen the Mortal Engines movie directed by Christian Rivers.

Pearl Jam care, they really care

Not content with sticking it to Ticketmaster and keeping in rocking in the free word, Pearl Jam have upped their game and are now indeed going to save the world.
While many people dream of becoming a rock star, Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard says he is trying to be more of a businessman to help slow climate change.

The U.S. band, which has sold 60 million albums since 1991, said on Monday it was investing $210,000 to plant trees in Washington State to soak up an estimated 7,000 tons of carbon dioxide linked to a 32-date 2009 tour.

"Pearl Jam is a band but we are also a business," guitarist and co-founder Gossard told Reuters in a telephone interview.

"We're seeing ourselves as a Washington business, a regional business that is acknowledging its carbon footprint and hoping to inspire other businesses."

Many leading musicians have sought to raise awareness about the risks of climate change, often by planting trees, and culminating in "Live Earth" concerts in July 2007 across seven continents.

But Gossard, 43, said celebrity-driven inspiration was often short-lived. "The idea of a celebrity is fantastic in terms of raising awareness for a day or a week, but it needs consistent business policy in the long term," he said.

He said there were good business arguments for investing in climate measures -- even though opinion polls in the United States show dwindling belief that mankind causes global warming. Carbon-capping legislation is stalled in the U.S. Senate.

"It's doable. It's not going to kill your company and if anything it will enhance your company's ability to sell whatever it is selling by being good stewards of the land," he said.

I wonder if Stone uses finings when brewing beer.

Set List Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam closed the Austin City Limits Festival which ran from 2 – 4th October 2009.

Eddie Vedder laced a series of steely guitar runs through opener “Why Go?” and slashed a jagged path up the center of “Corduroy.” What was most breathtaking about the set list was its brute, blunt force, and the ferocity with which the band tore into the songs.

Rolling Stone Magazine noted “The group’s reliance on classic material afforded an opportunity to see how much they’ve grown. Taken on its own “The Fixer (lyrics),” the sterling new single from Backspacer, is a charmer, Vedder wandering through the world and setting aright all of the things that seem askew (”When something’s cold/let me put a little fire on it”). But coming as it did between a scorching “State of Love and Trust” and a volcanic, borderline-hardcore take on “Go,” the song’s steely optimism felt that much more earned”.

We've tried to figure out if Eddie Veder prefers to use Spraymalt or beer enhancer for making homebrew but we strongly suspect he's a red wine kind of guy so it's a moot point. He may or may not use a good ph meter to test his drinking water but that's probably kind of the point when it comes to drinking red wine, it's either good, or it's not. But if you do have a bad wine, at least you can cheer up by reading Mortal Engines. Such a good book, I'm surprised Eddie has yet to write a song lyrics about Hester's scar? Time will tell. May be he will. Maybe he wont.

The End Lyrics Pearl Jam

The End Lyrics from the Pearl Jam Album: Backspacer

Many of titles of the tracks from Backspacer share their title with other famous songs. In this case, The End may be a reference to The Door's song. One could describe the lyrics being part of an "aching love song".

The End lyrics:

What were all those dreams we shared

Those many years ago?

What were all those plans we made now
Left beside the road?
Behind us in the road

More than friends, I always pledged
Cause friends they come and go
People change, as does everything
I wanted to grow old
I just want to grow old

Slide up next to me
I'm just a human being
I will take the blame
But just the same
This is not me

You see?
Believe

I'm better than this
Don't leave me so cold
I'm buried beneath the stones
I just want to hold on
I know I'm worth your love

Enough
I don't think
There's such a thing

It's my fault now
Having caught a sickness in my bones
How it pains to leave you here
With the kids on your own
Just don't let me go

Help me see myself
Cause I can no longer tell
Looking out from the inside
Of the bottom of a well

It's hell
I yell
But no one hears before I disappear
Whisper in my ear
Give me something to echo
In my unknown future's ear

My dear
The end
Comes near
I'm here
But not much longer
